Ever since Evelyn's 12 month check-up, we have been just feeding her whatever we have for dinner every night. Our pediatrician said anything and everything but nut products. Tonight, after a long work day, we had frozen pizza & squash. And so did Evie. She loved the pizza! I thought she looked extra cute and messy after her meal, so I couldn't resist snapping a photo.

12 Month Check-Up
Evelyn had her 12 month check-up today. Her pediatrician said she is doing great :) She weighed 19lbs 4oz, and she is 29 1/4 inches long. Her weight is 10-25%, her height is around 50%, and her head is still close to the 90th percentile. Her Nana Sally is convinced it is because she is going to be extremely smart!!
At what age is it typical to wean children from the bottle? Our pediatrician recommended to be done with the bottle at 15 months... I guess I was a little surprised by that. It is only 2.5 months away. She just seems like such a little peanut still! Oh well --- we will work on slowly transitioning her to the sippy cup I guess...

Warning for Grey's watchers...
Did anyone catch Grey's An*t*my last night?? Oh My Gosh!! They should have put a warning up on the screen before the episode started... "Due to the emotional topics tonight, be sure to have plenty of tissues on hand. Pregnant women and young mothers especially."
I don't know if it was the topic, my hormones, or probably a combination of both --- but I was seriously sobbing. When Bailey wanted to hold Tucker's hand during his surgery... near the end when the "healer" came in to lay her hands on him... and then when Tucker started breathing again... Ugh!
I seriously feel like I should have been warned before the show started. I wasn't prepared to have an hour-long cry-fest...

Belly at 26 weeks
Here is a belly shot to track my progress. Don't mind my outfit --- this is pretty much my "uniform" when I get home from work. A t-shirt, fleece, comfy pants (these or my adidas running pants), and fleece socks... Poor Travis... the guy never sees me in nicer clothing until right before we leave the house. Comfort is becoming much more important than fashion at this point :)Yes, those are bruises on my belly... Due to a condition that I recently found out that I have, I have to give daily injections (a blood thinner) in my belly. The injections leave small bruises behind for about a week. I hate the injections --- but the good thing is, the injections might allow this little guy to stay in my belly past 36 weeks :) The doctors now believe that during my pregnancy with Evelyn, my tendency to form blood clots (during pregnancy) possibly could have somewhat plugged up my placenta. That could explain the low fluid, and also the reason why Evelyn's growth tapered off at the end, which caused her early delivery.
Not much else going on here... I am having lunch with a customer today at Cheesecake Factory... YUM YUM!! Definitely looking forward to that!
