One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

long & relaxing weekend

Not much going on here... just enjoying the long weekend. Travis has been catching up on some much-needed sleep since his trip. We stayed in and made dinner at home on Valentine's Day (we also both have been enjoying the NBA's all-star weekend games, competitions, etc) We plan on going out for dinner tonight -- decided to wait and avoid the big date-night rush. One of the reasons why I love Travis is his down-to-earth, casual attitude. Neither one of us needs the big Valentine's Day holiday to go all out and celebrate. Five years (this August), 1 dog, and 2 kids later... almost every day still seems like Valentine's Day!! Here is another one of the many reasons why my hubby is the best...
Here is Noah playing with a new toy (actually he got it for Xmas, but it is one the toys that we put aside so we could have "new" toys later on). He is quite the dunker!

Here is how I found the boys (& Cocoa) after Evelyn's bath last night... pretty cute. Evelyn decided to join in: (she is wearing her new favorite pjs -- Elmo, of course!!)

She Swims She Rides She Runs SheROX!!

So... I gave Travis two options... I either wanted to:
1) try for baby #3 later this year (I know -- I am insane)
2) compete in a triathlon

This morning I registered for the Danskin SheROX Seattle Triathlon!! Eeek!
So -- nice guesses for those of you that thought I might be pregnant again. Maybe next year... Wish me luck though -- I have a lot of training to do for this triathlon :)

hey-la hey-la... my boyfriend's back!

Scratch that --- hey-la hey-la... my hubby's back!! Travis got back this afternoon from a two week long work trip to India. I didn't want to mention on my blog that he was out of town -- I was a little paranoid about stalkers figuring out that I was home alone, etc. You better believe that I am thrilled that he is home again!

It definitely was a long two weeks... I don't know how single moms do it... please give your single mom friends a big hug and/or a helping hand -- they need it!!
Here is my big guy -- 10 months old today

More news to come tomorrow.... :)

share the love

I just realized that my last post was all Noah pics -- so here is Evelyn before church today. Notice the bow in her hair... her hair is finally getting long enough to clip back! She wore it all through church, but then it came up missing on the car ride home. I was paranoid that she fed it to Noah! I was imagining waiting for it to come out of him... but thankfully I found it (on the floor) when we got home :)

baby teeth & self-help stuff

I finally got around to getting some photos of Noah's teeth today. He doesn't have bottom teeth yet, just the top ones. He kinda reminds me of a little bunny rabbit...
Here he is trying to crawl... both of my kids have been late bloomers... not crawling until around 10 months. I'm not complaining though -- they are easier when they are immobile!

There has been a lot going on lately -- I will fill you all in soon. One new change is that I have been listening to audio books in the car. My territory for work is much larger than it used to be -- so I have long drives -- I LOVE the audio books. I just finished Stop Whining, Start Living... highly recommend it. Dr Laura can be a little brash and rough -- but I find her point of view very refreshing (warning: you wouldn't like her if you are huge into feminism) I love her marriage & sex views... you'll have to read/listen to the book :) I requested her audio book on marriage from the library -- I can't wait to get into that one, too. More later...
