One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

Vandervort Family Vacation

Here are a few pics from our recent family vacation. We went with Trav's parents, his brother Chuck, Chuck's wife (Kim), and their daughter Lola (11 months). Here are the rest of the pics on Snapfish if anyone is interested. It was a fun vacation -- great weather, great food/drink, great kids -- it was a nice break for us all :) Here is a family photo from Mount Walker:

Here are a couple pictures of the kids playing in the water at the Salt Creek/Crescent Bay area:Sally is trying to get Noah to realize that he can balance himself -- 15 months and still not walking on his own yet... ugh! Another family photo before dinner:
Yet another family pic (we luckily managed to get a few of these during our vacation) -- we were walking around Port Townsend here:

Weekend Update

Sad to say - but it was another tough weekend. I managed to catch a bug Friday afternoon. I think it was the same thing the kids and Travis had last weekend (maybe it was dormant in me longer?) I had an upset stomach and body aches until Sunday. It was a beautiful weekend though - and I did manage to tough it out and went to the park with the kids on Saturday --

Notice the determined look on Noah's face:This is what he was determined to do... he loves the slide! He is already a pro :)Here is Evelyn's determined face:She also loves the slide...
Cute pic of the kids in the tunnel:
Two new videos of the kids playing together: Click Here and Here
All for now -- date night with Travis tomorrow night! (Kim is coming over to babysit the kids) We haven't had a date in a while -- I am SO excited :)

Recipe for the Weekend

I can't believe I am saying it -- but I am actually glad it is Sunday night and this weekend is almost over with. Here is the basic recipe for my weekend: Start with working a booth at a continuing education event for my customers from 1:30-6:30 both Saturday and Sunday. Throw in a pukey & poopy Noah on Friday night/Saturday/Sunday, a poopy Evelyn on Saturday, and a pukey & poopy husband on Saturday. Finish with tired, swollen feet due to standing in a booth in high heels for 10 hours. (my own fault -- I didn't want to sacrifice fashion for comfort)

Actually, I want a happy ending. I will finish my recipe with crawling in bed around 9PM so I can read a book and get a good night's rest -- I am hoping to muster the energy to be at the 6AM spinning class in the morning.
