One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

Daddy's Home!!

Travis was out of town for work this past week. He left early Tuesday morning and didn't return until after midnight last night. He definitely was missed!! It was tough at times... and the bedtime routine that we have for the two kids was hard to handle by myself, but I figured it all out. It gave me a pretty good sense of accomplishment, too. :) This was Trav's first trip since Noah was born. We have been really lucky that he hasn't had to travel much lately - I should probably knock on wood after saying that...

Here is a picture of Evelyn and Travis taken earlier tonight. Doesn't she look happy to have her daddy back?
We went to an event today called Petpalooza. It was pretty fun. We participated in their 3K Dog Trot (I was the only one pushing a double stroller) and then we walked around and dog-watched. Cocoa was in heaven today -- she spent the rest of the afternoon conked out on the couch. All the excitement from the morning tired her out. Here is a picture of Trav and Cocoa trying out an agility course... it was pretty funny to watch. And Noah was happy to have his daddy back, too. Here is a picture of Trav doing storytime before bed. He usually reads them a childrens book or two and then a chapter from the bible before putting them in their cribs.

YAY, Trav's back. I am sure you did a wonderful job with the kids by yourself. It definitely gives you a sense of accomplishment when you do it by yourself, but it is great to have the other half back :)

The dog event is really neat. I didn't know they had stuff like that. At times I would love to have a dog, but I think I need to wait until the kids are a bit older.

Also, the pic with Trav and Evie is adorable. Evie looks so much like Trav, but then I also see so much of you in her.

It is super hard when daddy's go out of town. Ever since Jayda was born, Brian has been traveling off and on. And of course you get used to it, and manage ok without them, but it is such a r-e-l-i-e-f to have them home again. Yay for you for getting through it!!

Love the pics and the bedtime routine too. Don't ever give up that sweet storytime routine!
