My mom is in town visiting from Michigan -- and the kids are having a ton of fun! They absolutely love playing and reading with their Grammie.
She brought Noah a jacket for his birthday -- a little Carhart jacket advertising my dad's business. Just like the big boys wear!!!

Bathroom Humor/Entertainment
Evelyn still isn't potty trained... no judgement, please... I am already feeling a little incompetent as it is... but we are working on it!
Here is Evelyn "trying"... and Noah coming to see what is going on...
He decides to sit down and keep Evelyn company...

Every Monday Brings a Fresh Start
Not much to say except for I have been in quite the funk lately... haven't been able to make lemonade from lemons, look on the bright side, find the silver lining in the clouds... whatever you want to call it, for some reason I haven't been able to shake it. Good thing I didn't register in advance for the 10K -- I was too busy having a pity party to actually go and run the race :(
I think it was the combination of work frustration... being sick for what seems like 2 weeks straight... having some lingering ankle pain... which all affected my running/work-out routines.
Good news -- I ran close to 8 miles last night (my punishment for not running the race in the AM) with minimal ankle issues... and I also woke up with only a hint of sinus congestion this morning -- I think I have finally turned the corner!! Hooray for Monday -- a fresh start again :)
To end with some more good stuff -- here are some tub pics:

New Haircut & New Friends
I know this isn't going to make Grammy happy -- but Noah got a haircut -- and it is short!! (she likes little boys with longer hair) I think it looks pretty cute :)
The new haircut shows off Noah's special "birthmark" or whatever you want to call it... He has a small patch of hair on the back of his head that is brown. It always has been -- and probably always will be. It is much less noticeable with longer hair because it gets covered more with the hair above it. Again -- I think it is pretty cute :) Noah's "I'm sick of you taking my picture" face:
