Well -- I am in Salt Lake City for work this week. It is Monday night, and I miss home so much already!! It really was heartbreaking to leave this morning and head for the airport. I know that Evelyn is in great hands with Travis and Bita (our daycare provider)-- but I can't help but worry a little and miss her a lot!!
I travel for work probably only around 2 weeks a year -- and I never used to mind the travel. It used to be kinda fun to see a new city and get away for the week (not to mention that we always get to stay at amazing hotels, the type that I would never pay for if the money was coming out of my pocket!!) But since Evie came along, I find myself dreading the time away from home. I would much rather be home with the family now.
Luckily they keep us extremely busy at these product launch meetings. We literally work from 7:30 AM until around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, and then we have dinners at 7:00 that last until around 9:00. UGH!! Very long days!! We got done around 8:30 tonight -- and I made myself head to the fitness center to get in a workout. I figured that if I tired myself out completely, I will fall asleep quicker tonight!
To add to the mix -- my birthday is this week, too. I turn 28 on Wednesday. Wish I was home for my birthday... OK -- enough complaining, I promise. Travis took me (and Evelyn) to dinner this past Sunday to celebrate already. We went to one of our favorite little pizza places in town for pizza and a pitcher of Mac & Jack beer (my favorite!). I will also have presents waiting for me when I get back home. My mom sent a gift and I still haven't opened the gift from Trav yet either. Yay for presents!!

Since I saw the link on Kara's blog, I've stalked you too:)
Your daughter is beautiful and I love her name! The baptism gown is so sweet, what a neat tradition.
I am so sorry that you have to travel this week....especially since it is your birthday. Have a wonderful birthday and have safe travels.
