One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

Buzz Buzz...

I brought Evelyn to work with me today -- we handed out Halloween candy to some of my favorite clinics/customers. This is something I have done the past 3 years with a couple of co-workers. Today we had 2 bumblebees, 1 ladybug, Dolly Parton, and a nerd.

I brought back Evelyn's bumblebee costume from last year for the occasion. When I discovered that my co-worker's daughter Hallie had the same costume for this year -- I couldn't resist the opportunity to have them dress alike :)
Evelyn was extra cute -- I am thinking she might have helped my sales $$ today :)

PACE Race

We participated in the PACE race 5K for Prostate Cancer this morning with some good friends of ours. Melissa runs it every year in honor/remembrance of her dad. We were happy to be able to join them this year for the event :) The weather was brisk this morning (probably around 40 degrees) -- but beautiful. It was a fun course -- very scenic, kinda hilly... but Travis and I took turns with the stroller, so it worked out fine.

I finally feel like I am getting caught up... at least on the blogging portion. I have a bunch of stuff to do for work later tonight. Not sure when the housework will get done though... oh well :)

Halloween Preview - Pumpkin Prowl

Well -- the event wasn't worth it (in my opinion) -- but here are some pics.

Getting the little dragon dressed:Evelyn as a unicorn (adorable from behind -- I will have to get some better shots on Halloween)It is nearly impossible to get good pictures with both kids. Since I am usually the photographer, I made a point to ask Travis to get a picture of us. Here is our attempt:

Way Behind...

I feel as if I am falling way behind on everything... work, housework, sleep, blogging, etc. So here is my first attempt to catch up :)

We went to the pumpkin patch today -- quoting the kids favorite book (I think the whole family knows every word by heart -- since it has been their favorite book since LAST Halloween) -- "It was a pumpkin patch party!!"

It definitely was a muddy adventure. I am trying to be more carefree and less uptight about things lately... and this was a good opportunity for me to work on this skill. But the place was a muddy mess -- and so were the kids. I tried to keep Noah out of the mud at first -- but the terrain was rough, so it was hard to do. At one point, he fell down directly in a huge mud pile... so I laughed and gave up. I ended up taking off his pants and shoes before even putting him back in our car! I think the kids had a good time (and I successfully spot-treated their clothing, washed/vacuumed the inside of the car, and cleaned up their shoes once we got home) Fun adventures can be a lot of WORK!

Tonight we are heading to the zoo for a pumpkin prowl event. Not sure what it will be like -- but it sounded fun -- and the kids will get a chance to wear their costumes...

Tomorrow morning we are running in a 5K race for prostate cancer with some friends (running with our new stroller!). Hopefully I will have more pictures from the weekend to post soon :)

The kids new ride... the BOB-mobile!!

The kids have a brand new ride -- I am calling it the BOB-mobile. I am totally in LOVE!! I went running tonight after work with the kids and was pleasantly surprised with how amazing this stroller is. I mean, running while pushing a stroller with two kids is obviously hard -- but this makes it as easy as possible. It truly is the cadillac of running strollers... love, love LOVE IT!! I am going to steal my friend Melissa's goal that she had with her running stroller -- I need to run a mile for every dollar that I spent on it. After today, it is $4 down... a lot more to go!
And Travis is being so cute... he has been running the past few nights after the kids go to bed. We are going to do a 5K on the 25th with the kids in the BOB-mobile -- and he is serious about starting some training. I don't know what he is worried about... I am clearly not going to be able to beat him if I am pushing the kids!! Love that he is making running somewhat of a focus for him, since he know it is important to me :)

Going to a fall harvest festival thing tomorrow with the kids... date-night with some friends tomorrow night... babysitting Lola on Sunday so Chuck and Kim can enjoy the Seahawks game... it is going to be a fun weekend!!

Pretty Perfect :)

We had an amazingly beautiful fall weekend here -- I don't want it to end!!! Had wonderful family time together, spent a lot of time outside, visited a few parks, met up with friends (Jim & Lucy) to play, went to church/brunch with family (Chuck, Kim & Lola)... all in all, it was pretty perfect :) I even managed to get a TON of stuff accomplished (I made efficient use of nap-time, late-night time after the kids were in bed, etc)... like I said, it was pretty much the perfect weekend :)

Not much else to say... here are some photos from the past couple of days... Evelyn enjoying her trike:

Cute little chunky monkey: (I do think he is slimming down a little bit though...)
Here is the other extreme... my long-legged skinny minny:
