One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

100 calories... yeah right!

For some reason I lost my willpower today. I need to find it -- and fast!! It all started earlier when I was craving something sweet. I was at Target with the kids and decided to try to be somewhat healthy and I picked up one of those 100 calorie pack sweets. Well, there is a reason why they are only 100 calories... they aren't very sweet, and they are teeny-tiny portions. So, after eating 3 servings over the course of the next couple hours (300 calories) and still not satisfying my sweet tooth I gave up. I should have just splurged and ate the real thing! My snackiness went on all day... and the worst part is, Travis is out of town and I won't be able to get to the gym until Friday. I have great gym motivation -- why can't I be as strict with my diet?! I am hoping to have more self-control tomorrow.

Don't feel bad. I go back and forth between total dedication and that feeling of "If I got hit by a bus tomorrow, would I really want my last day's food to have been diet snacks, salad, and low-fat everything?" It's a rough roller coaster.

I have to totally recommend this sweet treat though, and it sounds wierd, but it's so good and not too bad for you. Mix one can of pumpkin with one box yellow cake mix. Add 1/2 bag white chocolate chips. Put in muffin tins. Bake at 350 for like 20-25 minutes (keep an eye on them though, depending on the size of your muffin tins, they might take less time). They don't taste like pumpkin, I promise. And they don't have the eggs, butter/oil that normal cupcakes do. I'm going to try them with chocolate ingredients next week:)

I am with you, but unfortunately mine involves DQ, pizza, and/or doritos. I give in to my cravings so I don't go crazy later. At least you have gym motivation.....lol

That is so funny that you posted that. I was having a fat day yesterday too (that's what I call days that I eat too much and give up caring about it). Don't worry. Not every day is like that, and knowing you, you will burn it all off when you do get back to the gym.

And you're right - those 100 calorie snacks suck.
