One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

Sacramento Trip

Travis, Evelyn and I took a trip to Sacremento this past weekend to visit his parents. It was a fun weekend -- but went by a little too quickly!
Evelyn did great on both the flight there and back. I remember flying BB (before baby) and seeing a baby get on the airplane and thinking to myself "please don't sit next to me, please don't sit next to me"... Just because I didn't want to listen to a crying baby during the flight. So when we were boarding the plane, I was thinking that the other passengers were just hoping that we weren't going to sit by them. But --- our little girl was so well-behaved!! I was so relieved -- I hope we have the same experience the end of the month when we fly to Michigan :) Here is a picture of us on the flight. (I got a few inches cut off my hair cut last week -- it is now about shoulder length again. I am still losing hair post-pregnancy, and my hair dresser and I thought my now-thinner hair would look better at a shorter lenght. I am just praying that my hair loss slows down before it becomes more noticeable!! Did anyone else experience this?? How long did it last?)

Trav's parents had a "Come Meet Evelyn Marie" party at their house on Saturday. They invited a bunch of their friends and Trav's high school friends over to their place for food and drinks. It was a great idea --- it made it possible for people to come and see us at the same time without us spending our entire weekend trying to visit with everyone we could.

We came back Sunday night on a late flight --which ended up arriving almost 2 hours late -- UGH!! So, I am off to bed now to try to catch up on some sleep :)

My hair fell out with Noah for almost 6 months:( But he's only 9 months old now, and this last trip to the hairdresser required her to thin my hair again like she used to. So it does recover!

Good idea to wear it shorter while it's thinner, I found that made a big difference and looked healthier too!

Okay, if you guys have to fly to visit family, I guess I can't complain about my 3.5 hour drive anymore! Glad you had fun!

I didn't have too much of a problem, but my SIL had a huge problem. She had a post-pregnancy bald spot right in the front of her hair line. She had to be tricky with bangs for a while, but the good news, it did all grow back! I hope that yours stops soon! And I am impressed with your great flight with a happy baby!

I love the picture of you two flying. I am so glad she was well behaved. I too remember having the same thoughts you did before I had my girls. Luckil I haven't had a bad flight experience yet.
