One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

Evelyn's First Baseball Game

After spending all week in Salt Lake City for work last week --- I also had to work all day on Saturday. UGH!! I was exhausted by the time Saturday night rolled around. Travis and I tried to watch a movie that I checked out from the library, but I was sleeping by 9:00. Exciting Saturday night, huh?

On Sunday, we took Evelyn to her first baseball game. The Seattle Mariners were playing the Kansas City Royals. The Mariners won 5-1. We had a great time! Evie enjoyed the game too (I think). I wore the Baby Bjorn carrier -- and then we sat her on our lap for a while once we found our seats. She had a bottle about half-way through the game, and then she slept for the second half. Poor thing -- she kept getting woke up every time something exciting would happen in the game. The crowd would go nuts, she would wake up and look around, and then she would fall back asleep. This happened over and over again...

Unfortunately Travis and I didn't do enough to protect her face from the wind and sun though... We kept her out of the sun and out of the wind (except for when we were walking around) -- but she still ended up with rosy red cheeks and a red nose. I feel awful!! I wish I would have done more to prevent it from happening... every time I look at her red cheeks I want to cry! :(

I guess that is all for now. I just got back from the gym and I am exhausted -- I can't believe it is only Monday!

How terrible, about your dad's cancer. I bet that is scary for you, especially if he isn't close by. Sorry to hear that.
