One day while driving along with the kiddos, we passed two women running together on the sidewalk. Evelyn was all excited and yelled, "Look mommy, cool runner girls like you!!" :)

Easter Sunday and beyond

I had good intentions of writing about Easter Sunday early this week -- but it seems as if I lost track of time. So here goes...

Travis, Evelyn and I had a great Easter together. We started out by attending 10:00 Mass with Jim and Melissa (Evie's soon-to-be godparents) at their church. Trav and I decided that since Jim and Melissa are supposed to be role models in their faith for Evie, it would be a good idea to attend church together once in a while. It was really nice to all get together and celebrate Easter together!
After church we went back to their place and had a yummy brunch!! Melissa had made an egg casserole, huckleberry coffeecake, bran muffins, and fruit salad. Needless to say -- we left their place stuffed!!
Another memorable thing for me about this Easter is that Evie wore her first dress! We were very lucky and received a ton of baby clothes at the showers, so we haven't had to purchase hardly any clothing for her yet. The only thing we didn't receive was any dresses in the newborn or 0-3 month size. So, mommy bought a cute dress for her to wear to church. :) She wore tights for the first time, too. They were a bit big --- but at least they kept her little leggies warm!

This week has been stressful and busy... I had one of our trainers in town riding along with me for work on Tuesday and Wednesday, and those days ended up being extra long. We also had an internal medicine specialist in town doing some presentations at veterinary clinics for us --- so that meant a dinner function on Wednesday night, too. I am very happy that tomorrow is finally Friday!

We have an exciting weekend ahead of us this weekend, too. Evelyn's baptism is going to take place on Sunday. Trav's parents are in town for the occasion -- so it will be nice to spend a lot of time with them, too. We will be having a reception at our house following Mass on Sunday, so Sally (Trav's mom) and I will probably be shopping and preparing the food for that on Saturday. I'll post some updates from the baptism as soon as possible...

Did you get the pic I sent to your account? I'll call you tonight on my way home from work.

That dress is so cute! One of the reasons I really really hope I am having a girl! The dress-up time!

Nice job on the blog, very cute!
